Update: The Terre Haute Police Department announced in a media release that the victim 23 year old Trenton Holloway died from his injuries shortly after reaching a local hospital.

Terre Haute Vice News is still gathering information regarding a late night shooting that occurred at the Mid Town apartments near South 4th and Oak Street at approximately 3AM on Sunday, January 7th.

The call came in as an unconscious individual covered in blood. When Terre Haute Police arrived they discovered an unidentified male with a gunshot wound.

It is not known at this time whether an arrest has been made in connection to the shooting, and only one individual has been arrested for a violent crime (battery with a deadly weapon) since the incident.

The identity of the victim has also not been released but Terre Haute Vice News has put in requests to the Terre Haute Police Department’s Public Information Officer for this information.
