With all voting centers counted results show incumbent Chris Switzer has defeated challenger Anthony Rubinacci (4,939 to 2,659) in the Republican primary race for County Commissioner District 2.

Current coroner Dr Janie Myers overcame a fierce challenge from John Thomas Fitzpatrick (3,172 to 2,358) in the race for County Coroner, despite many questions still being asked about the offices conduct.

In the Democratic primary race for County Treasurer Tona Bean defeated Billy Joy with 3,681 votes to 1,680 for Joy.

Brad Anderson (4,561), Steve (Top Guns) Ellis (4,531) and Brenda Wilson claimed the three Republic primary positions for County Council at large, pushing out Bill Treadway and Dusty Havens.

Other close races included the 3 Democratic County Council at large positions with Marie Belzile-Theisz (3,887), Jim Bramble (3,189), and Todd Thacker (3,186), barely pushing out Scott Fisher (2,946).

According to reports from the County Clerk’s office 13,773 ballots were cast representing nearly 20% of the county’s 69,017 registered voters. Visit the County Clerk’s website for a full list of results.
