In a post shared on X, the Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita’s account stated, “If you have evidence of Indiana educators or school administrators making comments that celebrate or rationalize the assassination of Charlie Kirk, we need to hear from you. These individuals must be held accountable—they have no place teaching our students.”

On the same day, the Indiana Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith’s account shared a similar post which read, “I have seen and continue to see the evils of wokeism. It’s unacceptable for educators and community leaders to celebrate the death of an innocent man whose mission was to lead and educate without violence. If you see any educator or state of Indiana employee who is doing this, please let me and my office know. We will review and send these horrid messages to their management teams. Please email all information to media@lg.in.gov.”

The “Eyes on Education Portal” referenced by Rokita is a website launched in February by the attorney general’s office which allows “students, parents, and educators to submit and view real examples from classrooms across the state.”
According to the Indiana Capitol Chronicle, Rokita stated that the website would, “empower parents to further engage in their children’s education” and provide “real examples of indoctrination.”
