According to public records, Joseph Kuzmission was booked into the Vigo County Jail on Sunday, Sept. 6, on a preliminary charge of child solicitation.

At this time, details about the investigation leading to Kuzmission’s arrest remain limited. A police report or probable-cause affidavit could provide additional information about what investigators allege occurred, including when the investigation began and the circumstances that resulted in his arrest.

It appears Kuzmission is or was employed by the Vigo County School Corporation, where records identify him as a bus driver in the district’s Transportation Department. There is currently no verified information indicating that the allegations are connected to his employment, involved a student within the school corporation, or occurred while Kuzmission was working for the district.

An arrest and preliminary charge do not constitute a finding of guilt. Kuzmission will have the opportunity to respond to any formal charges through the court process.

This story will be updated as additional information from law enforcement, prosecutors, or court records becomes available.
