A high speed pursuit began in Vermillion county this afternoon at approximately 4:30pm. Officers involved in the chase followed the suspect past Ernie Pyle elementary and eventually south toward Vigo County.
The gray SUV, involved in the pursuit, then headed south in the northbound lane of Indiana State Road 63 and crossed the north end river bridge, and headed south on first street.
Officers requested assistance from the Indiana State Police department and Terre Haute Police Department, and according to reports, the suspect was stopped using spike strips near 3rd and Linden.
According to scanner traffic the suspect was wanted on multiple charges. This story will be updated as details emerge.
